Default Need a Crash Course in Skiing at Mount Holly!

Well, our dd15 has caught Olympic fever and she and I are going to try skiing for the first time tomorrow at Mount Holly, followed by dinner, shopping, and a night at a hotel in Novi, sort of a girls' day and night out. Neither of us has ever skied before, nor been to Mount Holly. Can anyone here advise us on what exactly to do, besides driving to the resort, buying a daily lift pass, and renting boots, skis, and poles? We will just be hitting the bunny hills, more than likely, so do we need a beginners lesson? Has anyone been to Mount Holly that can tell us what it's like? We chose that resort primarily because they offer a "two-fer Tuesday" deal where two can ski for the price of one on Tuesdays.

Thanks.

First of all don't call it a "Crash" course.

I would highly recommend at least a short lesson. Why be frustrated starting out, when a little time spent with an instructor will have you turning and stopping rather quickly. It will make the outing MUCH more enjoyable.

Wish I could help you out on the skiing at Mount Holly, but it has been many years since I was there. Have fun!

LOL, I thought after I posted this that I could have probably worded it better.

Thanks for the suggestion. It sounds like we should definitely do at least a quick lesson. Like I said, neither of us has ever even had skis on, so we are total novices.
