We have some close friends who recently moved to Tecumseh. They love it there. They dislike snootiness intensely and have no tolerance for it at all. The schools are good. The community is terrific and accepted them immediately. they have a really nice little pond within walking distance with swimming, skating and sledding. They got a phenomenal deal on their house. It is a beautiful restored turn of the century home and was affordable to my friend on a single income as a house painter. I was told that a lot of people from the big pharmaceutical company in Ann Arbor lived there and when it closed, housing prices took a dive.

The only downside that we are aware of is that it is somewhat secluded from anything and everything; there are no highways/freeways nearby and there are a lot of tran tracks running through town.

Having lived near train tracks most of the past 20 plus years, I can tel you that you get used to train noise after a short time s olong as it is not really close (so your house shakes). In fact we missed the trains in the distance when we moved away from them.

The tracks are only used for the fall colors tour a 2 car train 1 that is open that takes you through the woods in the fall to look at the leaves changing and countryside. Born and raised in tecumseh live just north in Clinton now also a very nice town
