I don't like any of it. I find the only people (generally) that love this state are from here, or have family here- but more likely both. Most don't leave the state. Sorry to be a party pooper, done 10 years here and cannot wait to leave.

I wouldnt wait. If you hate it here then I would leave imediately. Life is to short to waste time in a place you "cannot wait to leave"

Actually, we took our first trip to the thumb this summer and we were very surprised at how beautiful it was. It is definitely an overlooked area of the state, and we cant wait to get back over there next year....go check it out!

Michigan has a way of getting rid of the unwanted.... Its not for everyone. We need people who care for the state and want to help keep it beautiful...not trying to be mean, but we dont neep people like you. I would definitely be trying to leave asap. Hope you find what you want!

As an outsider i would say that Detroit has given East Michigan a bad name and i know people that think that the east is just run down. The West however they see as very prosperous, not sure why, could be because they don't have Detroit?

I have seen pictures and all i can say i wow. I'm going there in the summer and im hoping to put your theory to rest.

Not all, but most who dislike Michigan, are those who have never set foot there.

Seeing is believing. A person needs to have been there, either live there or
directly experience the pure nature of Michigan in order to truely Love it.
