Sadly, there are a lot of people saying, "You won't make it, don't even try it" for nearly everything.
One of my classmates told me he thought I was too immature for college. 4 years later he's trying to become a rapper.

True, I have not been in the military.
But I have met plenty of people who judge others, and dismiss their goals.
It is unfortunate that you have taken it upon yourself to tell this "immature female" that she will have a rough time and is not suited for military.
I wonder, if this was a male. If you would have the same attitude. Many think that the mulitary is an ideal place to gain maturity. Or is that only for young men?

It can make a man out of you or break you, hope it doesn't make a man out of her...
She will either make or she wont...
But I do wonder if she will be a distraction to the young men being as pretty as the OP says she is.... And that is one thing they don't need!!!!

Shes actually quite attractive & she knows it plus she likes both sexes. I know for a fact she will get hit on & some girls will check her out in the showers but im sure she can handle it. I actually talked to her today & she hasnt chosen a mos yet. What mos would be good for someone who dont want to spend time in the field ? Shes abit of a girly girl & always got to be pretty. Shes also a attention ***** & always got to get the last word in. I have known her & her family now for a few yrs. Her parents arent strict & know shes been with guys & girls sexually. I just dont care for her b/f cause he doesnt treat her as a equal but she loves him so whatever.

IMO, you've had your discussion with her so now is the time to back off.
The military may be exactly what this young lady needs. It certainly can make a person grow up fast while learning discipline....personal and other.
Besides that, there are many, many perks that come along with military service. Learning a job, health care, food, clothing, housing, educational opportunities...I could go on and on.
She may very well make a career out of it. If so, good for her. I was raised in a military family and the military takes care of its own. I know this from personal experience.

I have a question about your boundaries with this young woman, it is not appropriate for you to be discussing her sex life with her. That creeps me out. An old guy like you, sort of pervy if you ask me. You seem very interested in her sexuality. Wierd.

MOS 27D - Paralegal Specialist
MOS, 36B - Financial Management Technician.
There are others, but "not going to the field" is not an MOS....

She just wants a job where shes on base most if not all the time. She says she never liked camping out. She was thinking about military police but i believe they spend some time in the field. I was in the field alot as a combat engineer & driver.

This is not a soap opera and you steel7 do not have to speak for this person. You claim this is an 18 year old female which you stated "will be going into the army". It's time she stand up for herself and ask her own questions. She is welcome here to ask her own questions if she desires.
