I guess these guys were too chicken to go after a base so they were planning on shooting up a MEPS.

You're much less likely to be killed attacking a MEPS center. Less people with guns there.

Reading that article reminds me of the Harry Potter movies where the name "Voldemort" must not be uttered. In this article, you have to read half way through it to even find out the true motive of these men, dare I say it, Muslim extremism. Even then you only truly know that because of a quote from the men themselves, not any identification from the reporter or law enforcement.
Muslim extremism, the extremism that must not be named.

I don't think they would have gotten far here at Ft Lewis. The gates are pretty strict, and if they would have tried to drive right through, the MP's would have been there in no time. I was just at Seattle MEPS last month when my youngest daughter shipped- scary to think that people would target it.
