I want to get into the air force. I hate the heat but I love the cold becuz your excercising anyways.
I'm in the Air Force, not to mention from San Antonio " The only location for Air Force BMT"
When I went through BMT I choose April. Being from the area helped my choice greatly. Not too hot, not too cold. But that was a few years ago when you could still get away with choices and having more things on your terms. Now You should just count your lucky stars if you can get in. So like stated go with what they give you.
But if you have a choice or window to pick from, go for March/April or Oct/Nov.
I left for Lackland on August 6th. It was horrible. That heat is something you will never get used to (and I lived in San Antonio for five years). The ONE positive is that we didn't have to worry about sweats for PT gear. That's just another thing to iron and fold if you go during the "colder" months.

what do you mean seats for PT gear, what branch did you join?
I got to see the extremes of San Antonio. I went in June and it was HOT. My tech school was at Lackland so I got to stay all blistering hot summer till NOV when it snowed on us at Camp Bullis during Air Base Ground Defense School. I would wait till fall.
We honeymooned in San Antonio in February of 06. Morning was in the 50s and afternoon was in the mid 70s. That's how it was when I went to Navy bootcamp in Orlando in 1990. If you can, avoid Navy bootcamp in winter. There's a reason why they call it "Great Mistakes, IL."

I went to boot camp in May of 79 at RTC San Diego, graduating in late July.
We had PT twice a day at that time, mornings and afternoons.
The temps made no difference, if you're doing PT you're going to get hot.
The weather is a big part of military service. It's best to make friends with it as soon as you can.
Good luck
I went through Infantry OSUT training at Ft Benning, GA, from November 2010-March 2011 (then Airborne April 2011). Personally I couldn't have chosen a better time of year - I can cope in all climates, but liked having enough of a chill in the air to make you want to warm up with PT every morning etc. The only thing which sucked was the rainstorms - particularly when we had one the night before a 12 mile ruck march in the field....fond memories!
Parris Island was very hot and very humid when I got there in July 54.
