School and security are good options together. He can get part-time work as a guard for some odd hours and work around those hours or vice-versa. Both are goal-based, good for him and you.

He's set up to begin school for the fall semester, through the GI Bill, and has applied for the Corrections Facility type department - these things do take awhile between the testing and background verifications. Now it's just going to be a waiting game, to see if we can hold our heads above water until one of them accepts him, or kicks in.

I appreciate all of the input, all! I pulled up the "GI Jobs 2011" website that was suggested, and am gonna have him take a look at them when he gets home.
