We wanted to go back to Charleston (now in Hawaii) but we just got orders to McChord. At first I was a bit devastated since husband will retire within the next few years and we still own our home in Charleston. Just overall, we figured it would be an easier transition I to retirement already being there. I feel better about moving now. My husband loves the outdoors and think it will be good for our kids to see that side of the country (it is beautiful!)

Never been to the other ones. Husband is from MA though and we've stopped there while passing through visiti family. Hanscom is pretty small. If you like living near a big base, it will not be what you expect (or at least from what I remember of it).
