Okay first off you don't want to really go serve in Iraq. If you go active duty you already will get educational benefits. I applaud your desire to serve but I hope you understand that your desire is secondary to the army's wishes when you put your name on that paper. It is not for everyone but everyone can survive their time in if they are willing to be taught to soldier. I will leave the explanation at that.

IMHO, the MArines get a very bad rap. I was Air Force, and worked with USMC transporters, some of whom were the smartest people that I have ever encountered. I enjoyed working with them very much!
