Correct, what this does affect is TRICARE for Life.

The only thing that will affect your eligibility for VA health care is a dishonorable discharge or if you served for less than 24 months. Otherwise you should be good to go.

Oh I'm not concerned with getting TRICARE, so I should get that ID card from the VA clinic. Just gotta head down to the VA clinic when I get the chance. I do appreciate your thoroughness.

yep this is across the board. Over in the USMC, they are cutting back on active forces but the recruiting missionis going up. A lot cheaper to pay a Private than a Sergeant.

The rollback is also affecting young airmen who dont want to be discharged. They can always enlist in the army, marines or navy. Will the young airmen being forced out be permitted to receive VA benefits the rest of their lives or just for 180 days (dependents also) ?
