I was at Ft. Wainwright for 2 years (92-94), it's COLDDDDDDDDDD, don't let the weather fool ya.
It's a great area during the summer, lot's of out door stuff to do and I am sure they made vast improvments since I was up there.
They will like it, unless they are not the out-of-doors type people.
