But you cannot blame Obama for a guy exiting the military and not having his insurance follow him.

I served. I was in Desert Storm. upon exiting the military, I was not given any transitional coverage.

Beyond that, if I quit my current job, i have no transitional insurance that is provided for me.

Mr. Obama is not at fault in this. There is no "fault". I appreciate this man's service, but this reality is the reality for every single person who exits the military before retirement.

I will say that there is a case to be made that all the guys on that team were exposed by this administration when THEY pointed out who the individuals were.

I think that is the point he's trying to make a bit here with the no protection from AQ. He'll probably get droned now so he can't talk anymore.

This is normal for everyone who leaves the service. And I doubt this was the actual guy who shot Usama.

At any rate, everyone who enlists knows this.

And that is a valid point. This administration leaked critical information that should never have been leaked and they did it to make Mr. Obama look good. That was a nasty bit.

Now we have Americans who were involved in that looking over their shoulders and they have no protection. I would even argue that some are getting out (maybe this guy) because their familes are in danger with them in the service and they feel they have no choice.

The OP needs to refine the arguement here.

The problem seems to be that "The Shooter" left the military well before the 20-year requirement for retirement benefits.
Sorry, but them's the breaks. You sign up for 20 and leave after 16, well - can't really blame the CINC for that.

THAT he has a case for. This administration should have kept their mouths shut, and not endangered the lives of every SEAL team member involved in the operation, as well as their families (anyone remember that chopper full of SEALs that went down a few months later - yeah I know I sound like a tin foiler).

But retiring out of the military four years early was this service members decision, and therefore his lack of benefits is his own responsbility.

These are looooooong standing rules as far as retirement goes. He along with every soldier knows the rules. He made the decision to retire early and become a civilian. Obama has nothing to do with this.
