Interesting video if you were ever fortunate to live in Heidelberg, HQ of US Army, Germany. I lived there or regularly worked/visited over the course of 4 decades (1970s-2000s). So many bases/posts have closed and are closing over there - a good thing in my opinion (saves taxpayers billions). But sad for anyone that has memories of living in Germany.

We were stationed in Germany from 1977 to 80. Plus some TDY's there from CONUS. Was in Heidelberg many times. Have noticed how things have changed over the years with the U.S. Military.

Loved this.

We were assigned there from 1983-1989. Daughter born there. Almost became an ex-pat. But in the end, America is home.

Wonderful time in our lives.
