I was in US Army Reserve for little less than 2 years.
On Basic Training I was exposed to gunshots and ended up having permanent tinnitus.
When I see audiologist they find nothing wrong with my ears and my hearing is all good.
So can you get Disability Benefit for having tinnitus?
I also am not a veteran, as I got early discharged.
I'm service-connected for tinnitus (10%), but I was active duty for significantly longer than you were in the reserves.
I could be wrong, but my understanding is that, as a reservist, you're way more limited in what you can claim and what you can connect to your service.

You are absolutely correct on your second point.
I was active duty for 7 years and a 13 Bravo during that time and I only get 10%.
Tinnitus is also linked to loud music in cars, concerts and home firearms usage.

Difference is while you're AD, you can still claim disability for something that occurred off-duty. In the reserves, you can't and you need significant documentation to prove that it actually happened while on orders.

Oh so true!
