My thoughts, thanks and regards to the serviceman of all the nations I have served with over the years. May I serve with you again.
Adjudant, 2e REP Légion étrangère.

We are indeed the lucky and unlucky ones,
As we are the ones who have lived to tell the tales of those we once knew

We are the ones who carry those scars of things seen, done and lost
We are the ones who must never let those who are not here be forgotten by the new

We are the ones who will never need to be reminded that "We will Remember Them"
As We are the ones who will always remember those we forever call friend.

That is up to you. My family also recognizes Armistice Day in private remembrance.

Veterans Day is an official United States holiday which honors people who have served in armed service. It is a United States federal holiday that is observed on November 11 and it coincides with other holidays such as Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, which are celebrated in other parts of the world.

Remembrance Day which is also known as Poppy Day or Armistice Day is a memorial day observed in Commonwealth countries since the end of World War I to remember the members of their armed forces who have died in the line of duty. This day (or alternative dates) are also recognized as special days for war remembrances in many non-Commonwealth countries.

Remembrance Day is observed in Australia, Barbados, Bermuda, Canada, France and Belgium, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kenya, Mauritius, Netherlands, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Poland, South Africa, St. Lucia, United Kingdom and United States.

Is that a statement or a question?

Anyway, from my point of view i'm more than happy to recognise the achievements and deeds of those from any country that have fought and operated alongside mine and from a more personal standpoint alongside me.

They are worthy of respect and I, for one, respect them.
