I have been in miltary for almost 15 years , by 10 / 28/ 2014. As a CPT not promoted to the Major.
Now I am supposed to get out of army by 1 / 10 / 14.
Question, how can I make a retirement without joining reserve?
As everyone said here you can't.

Hey, how about a civil service job? Your military time will go towards retirement there. And I'm pretty sure vets still get preference points for civil service jobs.
This is one great solution. A federal service job and buying back your time in the military will allow you to have a pension already set aside. If you do both find a fed job and go to the reserves for a short time you can have both. That I can tell you is absolutely the honest truth. It might cost you a few thousand in buying your time but it will be quite rewarding in the end.

As a former active duty Army (1976-1984) I joined the Army reserves in 1986 then ultimately the National Guard in 1987. I have been in since but that is not the point. I think you would be wise to switch to Warrant or Enlisted if you remain Active Duty. If you do not go that route a few years in the reserves as Enlisted or Warrant or even Commissioned Officer (if you can find a slot) is the only way you will get that retirement. Your retired pay will not come to you until age 60 but really that is when you will want it anyway. As someone said it will be based on your highest rank held times the number of retirement points you have earned. That is key here. A normal reservist will retire with under 3000 points where you will start in when you join with over 5000 points. It makes a difference in retired pay.

As I told my sister (CPT in the army) when she got out because she didnt want to go to Desert Storm after 15 years I thought she was nuts not to at least do the remaining time in the reserves to recoup what she was leaving on the table.

It is your choice. Good luck in your decision. Thank you for your service.

I know several people who have done this. In 6 years of time working for a city, you could have 20 years 'worth' of time and funds into their pension system.
I'm not aware of anyplace that will let you buy that much time. The systems I am familar with top out at six years for just that reason.

You wrote 10 / 28/ 2014 so you're using the M/D/Y dating format, but then you said you had to get out of the military by 1 / 10 / 14, which is almost three months ago.

And finally, this is your first post on this forum.

So yeah, either you're a totally confused Bulgarian military officer who got lost on his way to the online casino, or you're just smoking crack.
The OP joined and created this post on April 1 (April Fool's Day, sooooo....). Also, the post is written in broken English, therefore, I, too, find it extremely hard to believe that the OP is an actual officer in the U.S. military – active duty or reserves.

I've never heard anyone in the military (officer or enlisted) place the word "the" in front of his/her rank. A captain wouldn't say "I'm getting promoted to the Major next month." He/she would say "I'm getting promoted to Major next month."

If this is a real post from a real U.S. military officer, then I'll be completely shocked because the wording of the post just strikes me as "odd." I just think it's an April Fool's Day prank.

Just curious-when you (re) reverted, did you have to start again at 2LT or did you get credit for your previous officer service and/or warrant service to take you up higher in rank/grade?

You're a Captain with 15 years in and you need to come to an internet forum for career advice? I don't think this is a real post.

No weight given to the warrant service and same place in commissioned service. The only issue was HRC's speeding up DA PAM 600-3 timelines during OEF / OIF. Most of my fellow majors have a year to two years less commissioned service as I still had to wait and get in front of an O-4 board when I transitioned back. I also never received a below zone look because of my truncated timeline upon coming back to RLO.
