Hello all, not sure if this is the best place to ask this question.
I never knew my grandfather, he died in 1985 before I was reunited with my family. He served in the Army in Vietnam in 1966. I can find out specific information about his unit from my grandmother, but before I ask I wanted to know if there would be a specific way to go about this. Are there reunion groups? Websites?
Mainly I would just like to talk to any of the people who served with him, hear some stories, maybe get copies of any pictures they have from that time.
Post an ad in the classified section of Army Times with as much detail as possible. There's always a few ads like that so it must work for some people.
Do a google search for his unit and see if a reunion group pops up.
