I just got done with the MEP's portion of my military career and I've received my ship out date for the tale end of October to Fort Benning. I've been stressing out, and it may be for no reason (haha) but I hope you guys and settle some nerves and beat some sense into me. When I went through meps, they had to send me for further consultation for my eyes, I got my eyes checked out and my waiver was approved. To cut to the chase, the paper work for meps has written down that my eyes are only correctable to 20/25 but what the doctor told me was that my eyes are only correctable to 20/40 instead of 20/25. Wouldn't that look weird at reception if they looked at my paper work and the results for their eye exam did not check out? Would I be sent home for my bad eye sight? How does the exam process work out? Thanks a bunch.
I was wearing a contact during the first MEPs visit
In my opinion, if you have a waiver, you have a waiver. It has been a lomg time since I was in basic, but I do not recall anyone looking at any papers at all. If you needed glasses, you went and got an eye exam and glasses.
If you were able to enlist, then you will not be discharged at BCT for the issue you describe.
