Today I'm thinking about Pat Tillman. He played pro football for the Arizona Cardinals. Following 9/11 he gave up a multi-million dollar contract to leave the team and serve as an U.S. Army Ranger. He was killed in action six years ago today in the mountains of Afghanistan.

Controversey and questions have dogged the manner of his death. But today I just want to honor the man and what he did for all of us.

Pat - A lot of Cardinals fans proudly wear a #40 jersey in your honor. Thank you.

we attended this ceremony yesterday.
They had about 6 kids, from the high school, playing brass instruments....several of the girls, still had their "pretty hair", from Saturday nights Prom. I managed to "catch" them, and thank them.
The minister who spoke, is a former Military Chaplin, and his message was great.

It takes allot of heart to fight back from an injury like that.

debey,
have you ever read the book by Harold Kushner called "When Bad Thing Happen to Good People"? It helped me out traumatically when I was injured
.

I don't think so, EB. I'll look for that book. I may have it, even. I can't tell you how many books, I've started to read, in the last 10 years, and never finished.....

I'm not very good @ "chat" threads, lately, either, LOL.
