Hey everyone I am currently in the coast guard reserve and want to drill closer to home. I am considering both the air national guard and Air Force reserve . Looking for pros and cons of each , ability to promote, pick up a title 10 or title 32 and to deploy .

Have you spoken with any recruiters to see if they will even accept you and at what rank?

And both components have openings close by being somewhat equal? Amazing. Every unit I know is at 105% strength. If you want to deploy (Can't tell. From your post) then reserves in awacs. Can you expand a little?

Example; Half way thru to retirement, want a full-time agr slot, want to also deploy as often as humanely possible. Rank and promotions not important. Single and willing to move.
