According to DOD estimates 3067 to 3828 of an estimated 7856 MIAS ARE STILL IN NORTH KOREA
On March 8, 2012 the US Announced it would go to North Korea to search for MIAS
On March 21, 2012 this administration "suspended" talks with North Korea
On Oct 2014 North Korea announced it would MOVE EN MASSE THE REMAINS OF 5,000 MIAS

The outfit with the most influence will probably be the American Legion. Its very possible they are doing everything they can.

The talks you're referencing usually have to do with sending teams into North Korea itself.

There is a significant amount of real, physical danger to doing that. This isn't Disneyland we're talking about, it's an incredibly unstable regime.

I'd ask you consider that, what has been happening in North Korea lately, that the teams going in typically have families of their own, and how little I suspect you personally know about the circumstances surrounding recent talks, before you advocate putting them in that situation.

I can assure you that the agency responsible for these recoveries does care about getting the remains.

I dont know what the American Legion status is, but the VFW passed a resolution in 2011 {See Wiki Link} calling for renewed talks to bring our missing sons home. Also a group representing Cold War/Korean War MIAS had a petition to Obama asking about mysteries concerning their missing love ones.

Its up to the Vox Poluli to bring pressure on their Congressmen on this issue...
