If you go fight for them, go live there. And if you fight against us you should be arrested if you ever set foot on U.S. soil.
On the other hand, the Gurkha troops that served in the British military have shown their mettle and loyalty consistently.

There is nothing wrong in an American citizen enlisting in a foreign military as long as they don't take up arms against U.S. service personnel, that would be the definition of Treason.

There are also Jewish Americans who move their families to Israel and their dual citizen children turn 18 after some years of living there and must comply with the Israeli draft to serve in the Israeli military. Since they are drafted and they do not enlist by choice, it is okay with the American Government. Since Israel is considered to be an ally of the USA, US Military veterans seem to be okay with Jewish Americans who are IDF veterans.

Then there was Douglas MacArthur and the Philippine Army.

Also, but earlier, Norman Prince.

More currently, Max Steinberg and Nissim Sean Carmeli.

Norman Prince, killed in action 1916. I thought I'd make the OP work for it.

Anyway, worth the read: https://travel.state.gov/content/tra...y-service.html

If you join another county's military you are swearing allegiance to that country. That means your alliegence is no longer to the United States. Enough for me, you have abandoned America, have fun. Some groups, like the Flying Tigers were fighting for China but when Japan attacked their citizenship was restored

They never renounced citizenship. It was their Officers commission and many survivors were recommissioned into the USAAF when more units reached the theatre
