I'm considering joining the ANG. My top 3 preferences of specialties are Cyber, or Intel (Operations Intelligence 1n0x1), or Structural Specialist (they build things 3e3x1). I had a 95th percentile on the ASVAB when I previously was in the Army reserve, so assuming I could get into all 3 unless there's a big wait list.
My question is, if you have direct knowledge, how often are deployments for each specialty in the ANG and for how long (meaning during war time in the 2000s and now in the 2010s)? Thanks

I can't speak specifically for any of those career fields just the ANG in general.

There were always opportunities to volunteer for deployment of you were interested.

If there was something like a wing/squadron/shop deployment often times maybe half of the group would go (again usually those who volunteered) and deployments were often times less than reserve or active counterparts.

Your mileage may vary.
