In my experience, the military (at least the USAF) was quite supportive of religious practice. We were even marched to church during basic training and there were active churches on every base I was ever assigned to, including Vietnam. As the saying goes, there are no atheists in foxholes.

Chaplains visited our squadrons on occasion and flight surgeons even flew with us. I think most people were passively or actively supportive of religious practice.

I would have no problems mentioning my religion (mentioning being the key word here)

This said, I think religion is an individual choice, so you should make your own decision if you want to mention your religion or not.
