No, we don't. Veterans, historians, and the occasional journalist will take note, but it's not a holiday.

VE Day and VJ Day only get mentioned a little when it is a big anniversary.........50 years (1995) and hopefully at 75 years(2020 )


It was a huge event when it happened though !

Sadly victory over the Nazi's is hardly mentioned anymore. Time passes. The generation that fought in World War Two is almost gone. Most people here could not even tell you what happened in Europe in May of 1945.
