The Military Channel
I'm not sure about the rest of the country but here in Albuquerque Comcast Cable is featuring the Military Channel today and i'm seeing some cool shows. I just got done watching about WWI featuring German Military Supreme Commander Ludendorff and watched the Roman Punic Wars earlier. Now it's showing Military News in all branches. I feel like i'm watching AFRTS when i was back in the Navy.
Just wondering if anyone else has this channel or has seen it before as it seems really good. The only thing is after today or tomorrow they will take it off and feature another channel that we don't have so......so much for the Military Channel.

Thanks Trudy for your answer...i have the regular cable which is like 80 channels at around 50 dollars a month but i'm wondering if we subscibe to the Digital cable which is like 200 to 300 channels at around 100 dollars a month maybe this channel is on it. I think they do this to get you hooked so you'll up grade and pay more per month.
They are showing the History of the Roman Empire all night tonight so i'm stoked on that. I watching Hitler invade Poland right now on it ....lol.....
I'm like a kid in a candy store as i just dig History so much....

I have Digital...but not HBO or the Premium channels...I get that and Road Runner (High Speed Broadband) for $100. a month... I could also get Phone service for about $29.00 per month through TW, and that would also cover my international calls...but because I also use the phone for business, their service is not compatable with what I have...Anyway, enjoy your show
The Roman Empire is a very good one...and keep asking questions in the Forum...I especially liked the one about minting coins!!!

Yup, I'm a military channel addict.
I'm all ears when they talk about military tactics used in wars and about Special Forces blended in with talk about planes. But then again, I am biased

LOL....Yeap i did learn something interesting there about old ancient coins. I just can't believe how bad the History Channel has gotten as all i ever see is ''Modern Marvels'' or ''What america eats'' or ''Gangland''.
I wish we could subscribe to individual channels on their web site and watch their channels via the internet. That would be so cool to pay lets say $9.95 a month to the Military Channel and then i could just watch it online instead of paying Comcast an extra 50 dollars a month for channels i'll never watch.

I have DirecTV the satellite and I get the Military Channel, History Channel, History International, National Geographic Channel, and I enjoyed every one of them for less than $100 a month and I haven't had any problem with it going out on me either.

Yeah, we have HD digital cable up here in Seattle and it's one of the channels available. I watch it from time to time - but not religiously by any means. Last week the Hsitory Channel (not the Military Channel) was added in HD as well (along with several other new HD additions).

Anyway it was a cool 4 days of seeing all these shows of the Romans and Napoleon etc...Infact i watched a show of the Carriers during the Vietnam War earlier today on it.
