And when I buy something new to add to my wardrobe, I can't help but feel the irony in seeing the "Made In Vietnam" label. We fought against these people due to our fear of communism spreading in the region. And yet good ol' fashioned Yankee capitalism made headway there. In a way, we did win. I don't think LBJ would have ever thought of such a thing happening, if he were alive today.

I'm looking forward to watching the documentary too.
Not exactly correct.

I've asked my father (two tours in Vietnam) if he wanted to go on a guided tour of Vietnam today. He felt it was a miserable place and there's no reason to return - and never has. He has no fond memories of the place to want to return.

I was drafted and spent a year as a participant in the Southeast Asian War Games. I don't like the fact that I came out of there with a silver medal and not gold.

Looking forward to the series especially since my father contributed through an interview. Burns does good work for PBS.

Today's millennials and younger probably don't have a clue like many of us didn't care to learn about our previous generation's history.
Thanx, Iíll mark my calendar and set my DVR for this series.
