Brain's going foggy.

A post on the Bergdahl case made me think of something, but not I can't recall the detail.

Upon his return, a bona fide PWW will be paid all due pays and allowances for the period of his captivity. But time as a bona fide PW is "good time."

If he is on AWOL or deserter status, that's "bad time," and he would be due, I think I remember, only base pay.

1. Is that correct? Does a soldier classified AWOL or deserter get only base pay? Or nothing?

2. What are the technical military terms for "good time" and "bad time?"
