I got a DUI about 2 years ago, jumped around to recruiter after recruiter until I found one that would work with me, but never gave up hope. I’ll admit it took patience, persistence and faith. For anyone out there, don’t give up and it’s definitely possible to get in with a record. It’s not easy but it’s worth it, never say never.

Congratulations and good luck.

Warning, old man advice ahead: 42 years ago, I would just finished up basic and was at Sheppard waiting for my tech school to begin. It was said back then, that the Airmenís Club sold more beer than any other facility in Texas except for the Astrodome when it was open. Be careful around such places, on and off base. Prove the naysayers wrong, keep your nose clean. The USAF was my start towards a great life - let it be yours also.
