I need advice/ suggestions on what I should do!
Backstory: I’m current in CT trying to relocate to TX. I was just gonna leave and have my car shipped down and find a job down there. I haven’t gotten any luck applying for jobs from my CT address . I don’t have any friends or family in TX either. My next step is getting a TX ID and then join the AF. While I go through BMT n Tech school I would put my car in storage.
Second option: To join in CT and put my car in storage. And just have my car shipped to whatever base I’m placed at . I really want to get the heck out of CT first!

I say just join from there. Sell your car. Pass BMT, go to tech school and then buy another car at your new location.
You won't need a car at BMT or even tech school.
Save the money from the car sale to put towards your new vehicle.
But you have to pass BMT.

My opinion? Getting into the Air Force should be your number one priority... Many people seem to have a difficult time doing that...

So... You want to join the AF? Or are you trying to use the AF as a moving service? I'm confused

Forget about your car, join the AF, pass BMT and tech school, go to your first base, buy a beater car, use all the money you would pay for a car payment and invest it, be extremely smart with your money and retire in 20 years and never work again.....this is coming from a guy who is getting ready to retire after 20 years in the AF and wishes he would have done that 20 years ago!!! Take the advice however you want.

I have a job in CT and I was going to use my car to store my personal items. I wanted to move to Texas to have easier access to my items. I never plan on returning to CT ever again. I always wanted to join and I had to lose weight and remove a stupid finger tattoo to qualify.

My career was largely based around Ct. I went there for much of my Navy schools. My first boat was homeported in Ct, my first shore-duty was in Ct. It seemed that I was never able to stay out of Ct.
Box your stuff up and store it with a friend. Enlist. At your first duty station, ask your friend to ship your stuff to you.
I have gone through many cars. For as much love and care that you can put into a car, one icy road and it can be reduced to a crumpled wreckage. Do not get attached to a car.
Once you are on Active Duty that becomes your life. Your stuff will not matter anymore.
Invest and when you reach 20-years you can retire.

Join and hope for the LSD trip. Lacklan, Shepherd, what's D? Dyson? Just join. You'll get out of CT cuz there's no AF here.

It would be silly to spend the time and money to move to a new state just to join the military where you have no idea where you'll end up. Join the USAF from CT and you're guaranteed to get out of CT.
Unless there is a significant financial reason to store your car I would sell it and get a beater once you're at your final duty station. You may end up overseas were you can't have a car.
