Why would you think that?

The OP has said:
"... I donít believe I need any waivers, no medical hx, no criminal hx, no weird tats, no collections/bankruptcy"

"... Iíll make the height/weight limit. Iíve done cardio/weights for years now I can definitely make the fitness standards"

PS I think the Air Force also has the limit set to 39.
But the Air Force isn't as cool as the Navy.

I've thought about seriously enlisting in the past, but I wanted Active Duty not the Navy Reserve.

Why are you wasting time here when you should be talking to the Navy?

Wow, I wasn't even aware of the raise in age.

I wonder what made them decide that?

The Air Force is still 39 max, and the Army used to be 42 back in the heyday of the Iraq/Afghanistan mess.

Anyways, I echo the others, the OP needs to get to a recruiter ASAP. You have to be at boot camp BEFORE you turn 40.

Don't be picky about what job you want (unless they can give you the job you want AND ship you out ASAP). May have to go undesignated to ship out quick (no guaranteed job).

Get a waiver. We are living in unique times, where 60 year olds can run marathons and 20 year olds sit online all day and play video games.
