Well, considering how many sailboats and YPs there are there, I'm not surprised............................

.............................but I am sure there must be another reason other than their physical presence.

Then why not just keep Air Force in same department as army?

Correspondingly, their academic emphasis is more about the missions of each service.
As if the Marines and navy do not?

Why do military bases have golf course? They be better utilized for outdoor training like shooting gallery, armoured vehicle maneuvering, or even a bombing range.

Junior officers kissing senior officers behind. In the 90s when I was stationed in Norfolk it was mainly officers using the golf course while the enlisted played basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, and bowling.

The military also has those. But even military personnel enjoy a round of golf when off duty.

Marines are just not large enough nor enough standards of deviation away from the Navy, to make it separate, though it gets talked about.

Marines are just a segment of the Navy, enough to make it a separate branch, but that is where it stops. There is a whole lot of intermingling between the Marines and Navy.

They are not going to do these things among where people live, eat, shop, etc, which is where the golf courses are. If they really had to, they would of course use the territory, but I have never heard of a land restraint issue when it comes to needs of the military in regards to a golf course is in the way or could be utilized.
