Quote:
VICENZA, Italy -- A senior noncommissioned officer accused of pointing a pistol at one soldier, calling another fat and improperly touching a third's hair was acquitted of all related charges at her court-martial Wednesday.

Sgt. 1st Class Jessica Barboza was found not guilty of dereliction of duty, maltreatment and disrespecting an NCO by a panel of nine male officers and senior NCOs. At least six of them had to agree to acquit.

Court-martialed for calling someone fat? What kind of joke is that?

Is this the same Army where you shoot at people and they shoot at you? THAT Army? Just curious, asking for a friend.

Maybe "Fat Shaming" is a new violation of the UCMJ.

Apparently it's not, since she was acquitted!

Wow. The only thing close to an offense is the gun charge, and just from the few details seems that was an iffy and an exaggeration/purposely misconceived event by a biased party towards her.

She may just be a not well liked person, I have ran into many in my military career, but hardly NJP worthy nor criminal worthy.

Seems that command may be a bit PC heavy, crazy, whatever. Probably a personal thing going on between a few of them.

Sounded like one of those toxic environments people like to talk about.

She's kick-azz! Totally squared away and fighting fit.
Military members who don't keep fit and staywithin weight regs are disgusting.
Buncha snowflakes. They should be charged.

Way too many good people were booted, and when the rules changed, prevented advancement, due to the absurd height-weight standards.

I went over the weight in every single time, though I was always at around 15% body fat, visible abs even, but hey, the Navy got its stupid chart it must follow, lol. Always had to get measured, so stupid the entire thing was.

Marine Corps was like that to. However, they recently changed the orders. Now if you have a 1st class PFT and you are over weight the CO can say that you are good.
