LOL. What case? Assuming the worst, how do you suppose the information gleaned could be used for political purposes?

On a related note:
I was perusing the latest job openings at NAVWARSYSCOM, and noticed this newly created GS-14 level position:
"ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) Program Manager)...responsible for advising and assisting subordinate Commanding Officers (COs) on all issues pertaining to the command Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) Program"

I took early retirement from that Command at the end of FY21...all I have to say is that if I were in Uniform, I would not want to go to war with the Systems they'll be providing in a few years' time...the folks designing, testing, and maintaining them are not what they were in the past (which is NOT a good thing). IMHO, there was a marked decline in the quality of the workforce starting about 10 years ago - and with the incentives the past two years for anyone over age 50 to get out, the people left to do things are not at the level of who they are replacing; with no adults left in the room, I don't see how this could possibly be recovered from.

A GS-14 position?! Nice! Good on whoever gets that.

I can't say I'm opposed to such a position existing. Then again, I don't believe that women and minorities are inherently less competent than white men, so what would there be for me to object to?

What does anyone’s competency have to do with creating a position such as this?

I’ve worked for plenty of minorities who held positions higher in the chain of command than I did. They were all mostly very competent and excellent leaders, too. I’ve had a great career and I’ve enjoyed working hard for them over the decades.

The current SEC DEF is a minority hire
The current CSAF is a minority hire
The current CMSAF is a minority hire

There are plenty of opportunities for minorities right now, there is literally nothing stopping anyone from succeeding, so what is the point of a position like this?

You could not have proven Col Schlichter’s premise “We are no longer serious “ any better than you just did.

We are creating positions and allocating resources/manpower for nonsensical social programs that do not make us a better fighting force, while the Chinese are closing the gap.

Don't really need it for racial groups or women. There are enough racial minorities and women already in military positions of authority to manage those aspects of "inclusion" as necessary.

"Ret Col Kurt Schlichter: “The US Military is no longer serious”"

IMO, someone who retired and was never promoted past grade O-6 has very little voice to be taken seriously.

Except in very narrow specialties of his personal experience.
