A buddy of mine went TDY to germany with an A-10 Sq. from Bentwaters. He sat in an Army club one night drinking and listening to some M1 Abrams tankers talking about how great that tank was. After about an hour of war stories they asked him what branch he was in and what he did. He said he was a tinbender on A-10 warthogs. they said what do they do. He said they eat tanks for breakfast. Next thing he remembers was a nurse taking his blood pressure.

At Pease we had a SRAC - Short Range Attack Chicken. Just an old rubber chicken the crew would lay on a gear door or something and spray paint it. When it got wore out we had to make a case to put it in.
