Favorite sayings you heard or said during your service time?
By far mine had to be a Master Seargent. It was March of 2002. I was 22 never seen real flyin bullets. In a foreign land of Shahi Kot Valley Afghanistan, moments before Operation Anaconda. The towers had recently been knocked down and the pentagon attacked so adrenaline pumping like crazy. We were dropped off and and then I heard it.......
Son,it's time to take your little balls off and put your big balls on.
At that point I knew it was on.

The one stated by Alt Dach. I had a 1SG who liked to greet the company with that every morning at PT.

Erma-
Your comment about cadences made me giggle. When my son was in boot camp, each member in the company had to come up with a cadence. They had a young man who was quite talented muscially. He came up with the cadence that was everybody's favorite. I can't remember the words, but the tune was the Storm Troopers theme from Star Wars- you know the one I mean- da da da da da-da da da-da. I will have to ask him if he remembers the words the next chance I have to speak with him.
