Default AGR jobs at Eglin/Hurlburt Field?

My husband is AGR, and we would like to move to Eglin/Hurlburt Field. It seems there are not a lot of AGR jobs there. Is that true? Is it difficult to get an AGR job there? I have been keeping an eye on the jobs at this site:
Florida National Guard - Careers
Is there another way to find out about AGR jobs there?
He is an E5, AFSC is 2E1.

Thanks!

Besides the Air Nat'l Guard, I'm sure they have Federal AGR jobs there too - Title 10 in the AF Reserves.

I don't know if you have to get accepted into the AF Reserves first then get assigned to Eglin/Hurbie or not. But I'm sure since there are AF Reserves there that they have some AGR jobs. He could also try technican full-time jobs. Different pay system but he'd be full time and of course still drill on the weekends.

Thank you for the response! He was full-time Technician at one point and then had the opportunity to take this full-time Active Duty Guard position, so he took it. We prefer this and would rather not go back to Technician. So, he is full-time AF Reserves (I guess that's another way to say Active Duty Guard) already, we just would like to transfer over into another Active Guard Reserve job at Eglin/Hurlburt Field, so I'm just wondering if anyone here knows how often those jobs come up and how to find them. THANKS AGAIN!

If he is already a AF Reserve AGR, he's about as inside as inside can get. He should be able to find out what positions are available on Eglin. There may be other AF Nat'l Guard AGR positions available that you can search for on the Florida Nat'l Guard site.

AF as a whole has always preferred technicians more than AGR's so if he has an AGR job now, consider him and your family quite lucky.

Thank you, thank you for your responses! What is "virtual MPF?" Is that an AF "inside" site where jobs are posted? He probably knows, but I don't. If it is, I'm assuming there would be more jobs posted there than even on the Florida Nat'l Guard site where I have been looking, huh?

Yes, we are so very, very thankful for the AGR position my husband has. We know it was a miracle, and we thank God for His direction. It really was amazing how my husband came to have this AGR position, and we do not take it lightly that he has it.

Thank you again! It is great to receive this direction from people who "know." ")

Hi Eja3! Best of luck to you & Hubby! I retired from the USAF before all of this "virtual" stuff came about, but my educated guess is that "virtual MPF" is indeed the Military Personnel Flight online and that job vacancies will be found there.

Thanks! Are actual AGR jobs found at the vMPF? I had heard it was just the one-year tour jobs and not actual AGR jobs.

There are AGR jobs that are posted in vMPF since all AGR jobs require you to already be in the military (and have vMPF access). Most of us on here would assume that you're discussing finding a new job and bouncing these suggestions/ideas with your hubby. What is his feedback on finding a new AGR position?
