Yes, the FAN numbers are used for Military Discounts ....there isn't anything for Veterans Discounts.

But look under the Veterans Discounts on the oavn.org website and it explains how Veterans can still get one!

BWW is Buffalo Wild Wings.

They have about 12-15 different sauces you can get your wings tossed in.

Yum.

You have to be careful about "military discounts" near the bases - many are scams. I went to a reputable-looking, chain-type car place in Norflolk that advertised a military discount. I needed my brakes pads changed and the guy, presumably the manager or owner, wanted @ $300 because my rotors had been ruined. I went somewhere else - the rotors were fine.

Most movie theaters give a discount.

Military Retiree vs Military Veteran | SavannahNow.com

Well, I had to reread a couple of bits in there.

Veteran - Someone who served in the military, left with honorable discharge.

Retiree - Read that career military, left due to disability or 20+ years of
service and is entitled to retirement pay, benefits.

I have called Disney and Universal and been told that no they will NOT offer a discount to Veterans....only active or retirees...and retirees are not the same as Veterans. (It was explained that one can be a Veteran without being a retiree. I am trying to learn.)

Several of the businesses I called said they thought by saying Military Discount it automatically included Veterans and never intended to make Veterans feel left out.

If anyone knows of any Veterans discounts please let me know.

Not every US citizen carries a DOD issued ID card.

AD military does, part-timers do, retirees do.

A 'veteran' who got out might not carry a military ID card.

Default Veterans should shop at Lowes not Home Depot for discount

Lowe's offers a 10% discount to all active and retired military EVERY DAY. I finally called Home Depot Corporate and they offer a discount ONLY on holidays such as Memorial Day and Veteran's Day. Additionally it is up to each store whether to offer it. So all my home improvement supplies are going to be bought at Lowes.

I get 10% discount every day at Home Depot, ever since the military retirees who work there explained to me that HD corporate policy is to give the discount 365 days a year.

As I stated, when I called the corporate offices, they told me, it is up to the individual store. They claim it is not corporate policy to provide a discount. If you could find the corporate policy you should post it here so we can take it into stores in our areas.

The store in Saratoga (Wilton) NY told us they don't give a discount but if we go up to Queensbury that store will give us a discount (25 miles). So it's Lowes for me!
