For vets and retired people......
If you could go back and enlist again which branch would you choose and why?

For the rest......
What branch of the US armed forces would you join and why?

USAF; are you kidding...Jet fuel and screaming engines are intoxicating (and you don't have to wait months to see land) Sorry, my Naval brothers and sisters, but I hadda say it...

I retired from the Army, and I would go back through it.

The only decision(s) I might have change if doing it again:

- I passed all the screening for in-service recruiting of EOD back in the late 80s and didn't re-up for it once qualified to do so.
- I probably should have stayed in Armor rather than bounce around on special assignments -- that or just gone Infantry from day one.

I would do the navy all over again. Yeah we have a few more days away from land, but we have hot(most of the time) showers, food is available most of the time underway, some good some bad lol but most of all i loved the travelling and getting to go places, see things, do things, I never would have had the opportunity to do otherwise!

Joined the Air Force in 1975 and if I were going to enlist, I would do that over especially since I have met a lot of people from the other services. Actually, I was up at the recruitment center in Detroit and one of the Army clerical workers had to take me to the bus station and he told me that if I had the chance to go into the Air Force, do it. I also worked around the Army for 8 years as a civilian and there is a world of difference with the Air Force being much more like a job and the Army more of an all consuming life. My husband was in the Navy and that just sounds too boring on a ship and yuck! I would not have been tough enough for the Marines as I met a girl that was going in and she was very serious about the whole gung ho thing.

If I had to do it all over again, I'd still go with the USAF.

My family was disappointed since my Dad was career Army (yep, I'm a brat!) but the Air Force had the fields I wanted to be in. Plus Jet fuel and screaming planes were cool, too.

USAF 1968-1972 Crew Chief (F100s and F111s)

If I had the opportunity to walk down the road of earthly life again,, I would again go Air Force.

I'm a civilian, but I would join the Navy. Assuming I could do something related to my career(engineering) it just seems like a better fit than the army. I'll admit I don't know much about the Air Force. If I were to go to combat though I would probably join the Army.
