Rapists: do you mean like folks who have consensual sex but decide later that they regret it? I just read about a conviction where she admits that she let him into her bed, she got undressed and she did not say any words to communicate 'no', and she did no physical action to imply 'no', but later her mom convinced here that it was rape, and the jury agreed.
Power mad nuts: is this all politicians? or just the elected ones? Can we include corporate CEOs?
Zealots: Zealous is no longer with us, Rome wiped them out. But today it is commonly used to refer to religious people. So are you saying everyone with a religious belief?
Pedophiles: How much of an age difference should be allowed? Can two people get married if one is 35 and the other 25? That is ten years. When I was 18, I could not date anyone who was 17, that is only a one year difference in age. I have a friend who married a lady who was 45 when he was 25, that is a 20 year difference between them, should that be allowed?

By 'rapists' , I mean those who knowingly force intercourse upon another against their will.
'Power mad nuts' , referring to those who are murderous dictators , know it , and enslave , pillage , and kill those who oppose their idealogies in the slightest degree. i.e. Hitler.
'Zealots' , referring to cultists like D.Koresh , or others like Bush who kill under religious justification. Even abortion clinic bombers , terrorist groups , basically anyone who commits homicide in the 'name of a deity'.
'Pedophiles' , referring to those using infants , toddlers , and young children for sexual pleasure. Anyone old enough to pubesce. This last one is a bit of a 'gray' area , but the ones who'd sell a 5 year old for prostitution , sodomites , kiddie porn viewers , purveyors , participants , and all of similar mindsets.

Even if they rank in family or friends , I'd be sad over their passing , but I am the kind of person that believes in full expectation and preparation for consequences of actions.
It was either 1994 or 1995 in Rota, Spain. Two Marine men went on a double date with two Marine women. Few days later, the two women saw the two men out with two other women. They got angry and plotted their revenge. They told authorities the two Marine men had raped them. Eventually the truth came out and the two men, who were facing life altering criminal charges, were released and the two women were brought up on charges, charges with much less punishment than their victims faced. I knew guys in the Navy who refused to be left alone in a room with a female sailor for fear of a "he said/she said" sexual harassment case. In such cases, the women's word is taken over the man's word.

The worst part is that the accused rapist is facing up to life in prison but yet even if the truth is uncovered the "victim" will get off with a mere slap on the wrist. We just had a similar case here on Long Island where a young lady (18 years old) at a college accused 4 men of raping her in a bathroom stall ... the truth came out when the detectives noticed discrepancies in her story and guess what? She got let off with nothing but some community service, some therapy, and a warning not to do it again. WTFH she almost ruined the lives of 4 men and she isent even punished
What's even worse is that all the false rape claims could lead to actual legitimate rape cases not being reported or not being properly investigated.

How sad! Seriously there are a lot of brothers doing time because of concocted stories told by females that felt guilty after the act just to ruin the lives of others. I am not holding brief for sick males out there though!!!
A thread about rape calls for numerous 'she did it for revenge' stories? We all know there are scumbags who make up rape allegations for any number of reasons. Can we bring the spotlight back on the real victims?
Just because it didn't happen to you or a friend of yours (really you should say no one told you- not that it didn't happen because you can only speak for yourself and not others) doesn't mean it rarely happens or that it hardly ever happens.
Maybe if you volunteered or even spoke to anyone who works at your local womens crisis center- your views on this topic would be a bit different.
Glitterific, anyone who faces a false rape charge or is accused of rape after the woman changes her mind is just as much a victim as a woman who is actually raped. I certainly don't mean to lessen the horor of a real rape. But there are both male and female victims when it comes to sexual crimes, whether it actually involves the act of rape or not.

This thread is about the Military, and it seems that most of the members experience seems to go down the path of it being falsified more than it being actual rapes. Not to say real rapes, don't happen. As a matter of fact, all of the people crying wolf makes it alot harder for women who have actually been raped, b/c cases are often met with a level of skepticism. Not to say a case won't be investigated, but an actual victim may end up feeling like a perp her self. With that said i think the dirty secret of the military is actually male-on-male rapes. Huge body builders getting knocked out and gang raped in Iraq. Navy chaplains raping people who come to them for guidance. Civilians targeting servicemen, getting them drunk, and raping them.
