Hey, my husband is in the Air Force and he just got word that he is being based in Japan, (hopefully not, hes trying to trade bases) but we have 2 yound daughter 4 years old and 1 month and I know that trying to get his orders re written can take a while depending how fast the base decides to re write them then send them to you and all. I would talk to your doctor about going over there and seeing about getting all the vaccines etc. How far along are you? Good Luck!

You AF wives should not be stressed. Japan is an experience you will never forget. Your husbands should take care of every thing needed to get you to Japan. The AF will fly you out on a commercial airline.U.S. Air base hospitals in Japan are modern and well staffed and the Japanese people are very friendly to Americans. We spent four years in northern Japan and and loved it. There is much to do and see and the food is great. Go with a open mind and enjoy.

i am greatly looking forward to japan. i just dont know how the whole overseas screening is gonna go since im pregnant. i have 4 or 5 months before i can no longer fly and his command seems to be making the check in process longer than it needs to be. he says they keep jerking him around and not getting things done. and i also heard there are some vaccines you need to get to japan. i wonder if i will be able to get those since i am pregnant as well. nobody at the oss admin seem to answer the phone. and my obgyn doesnt know anything about that.
