Or the PHSCC if you prefer. I recently submitted a pre-screening application but I don't know if this is even worth my while, considering that I have tattoos on my arms and one on my neck. In an email response I was referred to their uniform regulations which I've already looked over, but until I meet a recruiter in person and actually get a definitive word then I'm still in the dark at this stage. My tats aren't vulgar or offensive in any way, but they are big and prominent. Nowadays it seems that regulations just keep getting stricter and stricter with each passing breath. On the other hand waivers for service are nothing new to me, I had to get one for the Navy.

How about we pretend for one moment that they do for some reason accept me, can anyone here comment on life in the Public Health Service? Does anyone know anyone who's serving? So far it's been a wee bit difficult to find info outside of the website. I'm pursuing a bachelor's in computer science, in case anyone is curious.

Be level with me, should I not even bother?

Have you seen the PHS/IHS forum at student doctor network? I am not sure how busy it is but maybe you can get some info there as well.

Sorry, I don't know anything about USPHS.

I just looked around, and the PHS forum is awfully small. I'm trying to get into the IT field which is it's own field within the PHS, but I'll find out if this medical forum can be of any help.
