We ended staying at Langley AFB a while after mom retired so apparently she liked it while it was cheap.

Smile Best Military Stations stationed at, or seen, heard of, etc. and why?

What are some of the Best Military Stations you have ever been stationed at, or seen, heard of, etc. and why?

In contrast to the "Your worst duty station and why" and after seeing how some people wanted to mention some of the great places they have been to in that thread: I am creating this thread for everyone to share their stories of some of the greatest places they have ever been to in the military.

So please, feel free to let it be known here your tales of awe, shock, and greatness that are some military stations.

Japan. Why? The best experiences there, the most promotions there, and the wife loved it.

My favorite was Ft. Belvoir, Va. I was close to Wa, DC and could visit many historical sites, the most important being the Smithsonian, The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Vietnam wall, and Arlington. I may have gotten the sites out of order in importance, but each one made an impact on me.
