I just read a post saying that Waukesha County was highly republican and north shore area was more liberal. Are there any other areas in the Milwaukee suburbs that have either a democratic or republican reputation?

all of the southern and western suburbs are republican. You know what yes they are all republican except for North Shore. The only Democratic section's would be Milwaukee, all areas except the extreme edges and North Shore, everyone else is republican.

You can add West Allis, West Milwaukee, St. Francis, Cudahy & South Milwaukee to the lean democrat column. Obviously barajaj is painting with a very broad brush.

In the North Shore, Shorewood is very liberal, and Glendale, Whitefish Bay, and Fox Point are mixed (though have leaned slightly liberal in recent elections). Bayside is a bit more conservative, and River Hills is quite conservative. Brown Deer is mixed, but leans a little liberal.

The burbs in Ozaukee and Washington Counties are quite conservative.

Racine County is also pretty right-of-center, but it does get a lot more liberal as you head south toward Kenosha (which is also quite blue-leaning).

Wauwatosa seems more liberal. Greenfield and Greendale strike me as being a bit diverse politically.

I lived in Shorewood and many there were liberal, maybe since the college is just south of Shorewood and many of the staff live in that area. I now live in Thiensville, which I still consider a Milwaukee suburb and pretty much everyone up here is Republican (thank God...LOL). MUCH of Milwaukee County in general is liberal, IMO, including the 'burbs, although maybe not quite as blue as the city itself.
