What is the best scenic nature view within a 2 hour drive of Milwaukee?

hmmm.... there are plenty. I'll go with Wisconsin Dells, or Devils Lake State park in Baraboo. A little history lesson... some of the oldest exposed rock in north america in this area "baraboo range" ... Wisconsin River used to flow through here until glacial deposits blocked it and have created the lake you see today. Nice hiking in this area that goes up high for a nice view of the lake on both sides. Lake itself is beautiful to swim in.

If you're looking for something closer I'd try either the northern or southern Kettle Moraine state forest. Most of it isn't awe-inspiring, but beautiful with plenty of hiking and some high observation towers. There are also plenty of parks up and down the Lake Michigan shore.
