Default thinking of moving to West Allis

I know it is blue collar but thats where I fit in. Right now I live in Appleton, WI and my rent is $500 for a 2 bedroom. How does that compare to an average West Allis 2 bedroom? Are there a lot of apartments which gives a person a lot of choices? Also the Ymca here in Appleton is great and I am hoping there is a good YMCA in or near West Allis. Also, is there a bus service that has an express to downtown Milwaukee. Thanks for any info on West Allis.

Although I grew up in WA, I have no idea of current rents. The only YMCA in the area of West Allis is in New Berlin on 113th and Howard. There is a YMCA downtown. There are other gyms that might be closer to West Allis. There is a Bally's on Hawley Rd and Walker.

A freeway flyer bus can be taken from the State Fair park. #44 will take you downtown quickly. The #18 bus takes city streets and is a little cheaper but will take you about 30 minutes to get downtown from Downtown West Allis.
