Default Any Patent Lawyers here?

There is some talk in my family of everyone moving back to Milwaukee. Our family is scattered and we recently discussed the emptiness that we each feel living in cities where there is no family. I've come to the conclusion that it's better to live near family members, especially when kids are involved.

Anyway, I would be living in the Milwaukee area as a Patent Atty. I was wondering if there are any patent attys, patent agents, patent engineers in the area who can comment on the amount of work there as well as the job prospects.

Thanks.

I'm not a lawyer, but Foley and Lardner is a Vault 100 firm in downtown with many patent lawyers. Usually a "top 14" law school degree is required if you're transferring, unless you've built up a solid reputation as a lawyer or graduated near the top of your law class. I read somewhere that the average F&L partner makes over a million/year. Quarles and Brady and Michael Best are the other two very prestigious firms. After that, a lot of boutique firms and smaller firms. I think Foley is especially srtrong in patents, but I could be wrong.

Thanks for this information. I'll look these firms up and contact some of their lawyers.
