I drove from St Louis to sturgeon bay last week, and a 30 mile stretch of highway 43 n or 32? outside of Milwaukee was the worse highway I ever been on! I feel for whoever commutes that on a daily basis.... rest of the highways were okay though.....

Yeah it's horrible I drive it a lot and with this winter it has gotten even worse but even before this winter it might have been the worst freeway in WI for smoothness. It's like driving on a washboard. Once you cross into sheboygan County going north it's gets a lot better!

From Sheboygan County highway 42 and up is getting milled and overlaid in 2015 to 2016.

Ozaukee county concrete section is getting diamond ground (soonish).

in 2020, expand into 6 lanes from silver spring to highway 60 grafton

There are some tight spots between Silver Spring and Mequon Rd, the worst of which is the part between Bender Rd. and Good Hope Rd. It will be interesting to see how the expansion is handled.

There are currently 3 alternatives to make it 6 lanes. I think 2 of them need to build a new railroad bridge and 2 of them sinks the roadway down and wall both sides. But 2020 is a ways off. Also in 2020 the nasty concrete section will probably get rebuilt.

I thought it was going to 8 lanes from Silver Spring to Brown Deer. It's going to 8 lanes from downtown to SS.

Here is the DOT info. Both Good Hope and Brown Deer Rds. are going to be tight.

Whether County Line Rd. makes it is another question.
