I decided to take some pictures of some of my favorite houses in my neighborhood before I leave. I will get some more and upload them tomorrow.

So much prettier than the soulless beige found in Waukesha.

Those are so beautiful. I love that these Midwestern towns were built up at a time when style and craftsmanship were valued. It's certainly one of the major factors in our considering moving to Milwaukee. Not only is it beautiful but it's affordable. While I'd probably prefer some of the climates found on the west coast and in the southwest none of the residential architecture has any soul.

I am leaving Milwaukee. Starting my drive out to Orange County on Monday. Somewhat sad that I am leaving just as the weather is starting to turn. It's sad that I have to leave just as the weather is starting to turn, but can't do much about that. Anyways here are probably the last of the photos I'll add.

I really think that last apartment building is awesome. Those round entryways are something else!

That is my old hood, I've lived in over 25 places in 6 states as my "address of residence" and it's still the best, bar none.

Great shots!! I wish more houses in Milwaukee looked like this. I just find the apartments that are throughout Milwaukee very ugly, especially those rectangle apartments with the slightly angled roofs.

I just moved here a few weeks ago and love it. People are really friendly and nice. The architecture of some of these houses\villas is great and yes I agree on the ugly new buildings in comparison.

Milwaukee's East Side is the perfect mix of high-rise and Victorian living. It's walkable, dense, and vibrant without feeling oppressively urban. Milwaukee really is a great city and while I do like my new home better, I find myself missing all those things that make Milwaukee special.
