Rio has crime, but man, it is beautiful there...mountains, beaches...weather can be a bit too hot, but overall it is so beautiful. I also enjoy the culture of Brazil with strong extended family bonds.

I am fond of MKE after the decades I lived in and around, I also always felt safe there.

Definitely not the entire city is dangerous. I used to do commutes when I worked for a major hospital in the south side and it isn't bad at all. Yes, the north side is pretty rough and probably not the place where I want my worst enemy to live, but the north side doesn't equate to the whole city. Also, Bayside is a pretty good part of town. Just would be nice that the city can fix its economic priorities on other sectors than just manufacturing. Even Rockwell Automation (formerly Allen Bradley) which is the most major manufacturing player in the city is laying off people by the numbers.
